hey.booked
switch booking software

Switch booking apps.
Keep every client.

Move from Booksy, Fresha, Vagaro, Square, GlossGenius, a spreadsheet, or your phone contacts in an evening: import your client list from a CSV, Excel, or vCard file, review every row, and nobody gets a message.

No card needed. Try your own page before upgrading.

The hardest part of switching was never the new software. It was retyping years of names, numbers, and notes. With hey.booked you upload the client export from your old app, or the contacts from your iPhone or Android, and your client list arrives intact - on every plan, free included.

Duplicates merge, phone numbers are read for your country, and nothing already on file is overwritten. Once your clients are in, confirmations and reminders reach them from their next booking, so the no-shows you were losing to forgetfulness stop on day one.

How the client import works

any export, any size

CSV and Excel files from any booking app or spreadsheet, or a .vcf from iPhone, Android, or Google Contacts. Big lists are fine.

only a name is required

Match your columns once - name, phone, email, notes - and skip the rest with a click. Phone contacts need no matching at all.

duplicates handled

Rows with the same phone or email merge into one, and clients already in hey.booked only gain the details they were missing.

review before anything saves

Every row is marked new, update, or skipped, with the reason. Nothing is saved until you click Import, and Discard throws it all away.

nobody gets a message

Importing never books or messages anyone. Your clients hear from you the next time they book, not at 11pm because you moved software.

reminders from the next booking

Every imported client with an email or phone gets confirmations and reminders from their next appointment - email on every plan, text on Pro.

Move over at your own pace.

  1. Add your services and working hours

Copy your service names, durations, and prices. Add the people who offer them.

  2. Import your clients

Upload the client export from your old app (CSV or Excel) or your phone contacts. You review every row before it is saved, and nobody gets a message.

  3. Add upcoming bookings, then share

Appointments do not import, so add the ones already booked to keep those times taken. Then put your link in your bio and messages.

honest limits

What the import does not do:

  • Appointments do not import. Add upcoming bookings by hand, or let them run out in your old app before you cancel it.
  • Payment history, gift cards, packages, and memberships stay behind - keep the export from your old app for your records.
  • Your old app has to hand over the file. Most have an export button; if yours does not, its support team can send a CSV.

who it fits

Salons, barbershops, and studios moving from another booking app, a spreadsheet, or a phone full of client contacts and WhatsApp chats.

If you need your full appointment and payment history migrated for you, a tool with a paid onboarding team will suit you better.
